What is Mental Health First Aid? 

​

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) was developed by an Australian couple by the name of Betty Kitchener AM and Professor Tony Jorm. 

  • "Mental Health First Aid is provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in mental crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves". (MHFA Australia

  • MHFA courses are open to all members of the community.
